Performance is an integral part of Music and is a strong focus in the classroom.
GCSE Music provides students with the opportunity to study Music in greater depth and focuses on three key areas: Listening, Performing and Composing. Set pieces range from Pirates of the Caribbean to Run by Snow Patrol to Handel’s Messiah.
A-Level Music provides an opportunity for those students who excel in the subject to advance their learning and continue to develop their performance and compositional skills.

Many enhancement activities are offered such as Junior Choir, Senior Choir, String Group, Traditional Group and Orchestra. Musical productions are a regular feature of College life and recent shows have included Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, My Fair Lady, Grease and Oliver!.
Throughout the year students have the opportunity to perform in College events, for example, Christmas Celebrations, Musical Evenings, assemblies and corporate events. In 2011 the College will host a House Music Competition giving students a chance to showcase their talents.
