Learning together for individual Success

Home Economics

Aims

Home Economics has a key role in developing life skills to help students lead effective lives, as individuals and as members of a family and in the community in a rapidly changing social and economic environment.

These issues are addressed through practical and theoretical situations, where students are given the chance to develop practical cookery skills as well as providing students with opportunities to explore their own ideas, think critically and make choices.

We hope that students will find Home Economics stimulating and enjoyable, equipping them with skills useful both now, and in later life.
