Tuesday 7th February - Safer Internet Day begins "Online safety fortnight" in Slemish College

Watch this video to find out what SID is with your children. As well as staying safe, young people are encouraged this February to educate those around them by showing someone from an older generation how they can use the Internet.

What is Cyberbullying
Cyberbullying is bullying through the use of modern technology such as computers and/ or mobile phones
Some examples include:
- Receving nasty or threatening phone calls, text messages or e-mails.
- Nasty or threatening comments, photos, videos posted on chat rooms, instant messenger or social networking sites.
